I so hate it when customers insist on a particular ETA and show up about an hour late, no call, no apology, and kind of a ooze a “what are you going to do about it” attitude. They literally think they’re the only fucking person on the planet and don’t give two shits about your schedule. Never mind arranging two working days around squeezing them in on short notice on what I would define as a very unnecessary and not to mention no addition all cost to them.
Well anyway. Love Mondays.

Some people (maybe most) have no respect for the time and efforts of others. I blame their father.

i have a client who did something dumb and messed up thier whole house. A pipe burst or something. A tight deadline was never explained to me until loooonnngggg after I started working. At first they just needed simple plans to aply for a repair permit and they wanted to add a second floor. I did a preliminary design very quickly cuz I was excited about the project. They decided it would cost too much and decided to do a simple interior rearrangement of walls. then they decide they want the new second floor and they want it ASAP. I’m sorry you let a pipe burst and are now confined to a hotel with 4 kids and a grandmother but there are only so many hours in a day. I eventually told them they need to back off. they wanted to talk on the phone and I said no, just let me work. I havn;t heard from them since.

I once had a woman tell me “I’ve owned seven houses” when I told her I wouldn’t do something. Well whoopdie fucking doo, lady, I’ve worked in thousands, and I dare say, I’ve made a career out of the topic at hand. Jesus.
